La Mirage Restaurant in Helmsdale on the north coast of Scotland is
as famous for its hospitality and decor as it is for the food, and the
food is very good indeed. Created by Nancy Sinclair and run with her
son Don, the restaurant has a national and international reputation
The
atmosphere, good food and now wine will still be enjoyed under the new
ownership of Pam and Mike Wakefield. Don and Nancy will continue to
appear and assist with a smooth and seamless transition.
The restaurant can cater for 50 people. Bus parties regularly visit
and enjoy traditional Scottish high teas and afternoon tea. The restaurant
is also a favourite for celebratory events, wedding parties etc. Many
more simply pop in for a snack, lunch or dinner and for those pressed
for time the Take Away is very well known and used.
The interior is stunning and an experience in its own right. Regularly
visited by Barbara Cartland in her lifetime the walls display not just
pictures of Nancy and Ms Cartland but of the many other celebrities
who have visited the restaurant.
Mike and Pam can be seen here beside the policeman.

Full of life, a warm welcome and good food awaits all guests. Ideally
positioned on the main street in Helmsdale, La Mirage is an ideal place
to stop after a visit to the lovely beaches in the area, a round of
golf or a days fishing.
Come and enjoy the unspoilt beauty of the area and come in and enjoy
